SJF Golf Academy has been established since 2018 and is currently based at Mowsbury Golf Centre which includes an 18 hole golf course, putting green, pitching area and 13 bay floodlit driving range, allowing lessons all year round, coupled with Mowsbury’s relaxed atmosphere and ease of accessibility this gives the golfer a wonderful facility to develop their game alongside SJF Golf Academy Head Coach Sam Filipczak
SJF Golf Academy provides expert and FUN tuition to golfers of all ages, genders, abilities and backgrounds, with the chance to develop an already established golf swing or learn the basic fundamentals right, whether you are 4 years old or 85 years old, there are no barriers at SJF Golf Academy!
SJF Golf Academy is becoming widely recognised as one of the biggest golf academies in Bedfordshire and is becoming renowned for its Junior Academy, boasting many a talent from the ages of 4-18.
SJF Golf Academy is directed by PGA Professional Sam Filipczak. Sam has worked across the globe with well respected golf coaches such as Pete Cowan and high profile clients such as Pep Guardiola.

Sam’s previous position saw him based at Royale Jakarta Golf Club where he was the Senior
Instructor, at the David Leadbetter Academy. Being educated by one of the worlds most widely renowned golf coaches proved a great learning experience and insight into Leadbetters methods.
Before Indonesia Sam was based at Doha Golf Club in Qatar which was host to the European Tour Event, Commercial Bank Qatar Masters. Sam spent 3 years in Doha co-ordinating European Tour events and building an academy which was in association with Peter Cowen and Mike Walker, two of the worlds leading golf coaches, who between them coach over half of the Ryder Cup team and have several major champions such as Henrik Stenson & Brooks Koepka.
Throughout Sam’s years at Doha Golf Club he was privileged to learn the underlying principals of Peter and Mikes Philosophy. He is able to apply this knowledge to golfers of all levels, resulting in improvements above and beyond the level that may be expected.
Sam’s professional career started at The University of Birmingham where he studied the widely
acclaimed Applied Golf Management. He graduated as a PGA Professional and with 2nd class honours. The degree is universally known to be at the forefront in golf coaching, psychology and sport science.
Previously before the adventures abroad Sam worked at Woburn Golf Club, which is recognised as the best 54 hole complex in the UK and host to the British Masters. Sam also gained his first international experience in the golfing industry at The V Golf Club in Lithuania where he created their first golf academy which has proven to be an almighty success.
His past clients include County, International, PGA Golf Professionals many celebrities and footballers such Pep Guardiola, Gianfranco Zola, Graeme Souness & Thomas Muller.
Now settled back where it all began at with SJF Golf Academy based at Mowsbury Golf Club, Sam is looking forward to using his experience gained worldwide with the top coaches to improve your golf, move the academy forward, introduce new golfers to the game and grow a fantastic junior academy.
Sam has now also recently become qualified in Level 1 Colour Path & The David Leadbetter Junior Champion Coach as well as becoming Bedfordshire County U14's Coach.
